Howard Frum Jewelers
Howard is an old school character who came from humble Chicago beginnings and despite his great success, never lost his unpretentious, regular guy style. He can relate to anyone because he judges people only on their integrity and honesty. He is a truly nice guy aside from being an astute businessman. All you ever needed to hear Howard say was his famous “Wanna buy a watch?” question which he is famous for in real life and successful commercials.
Background: Howard Frum opened an antique shop in 1976. After buying his first Rolex for $175 and selling it for $225, Frum soon realized he was happy “flipping watches”.
A classic story…Black Monday’ -
The 1987 stock market crash…As most investors were in disbelief, wondering how they could recover financially, Howard was quick at work. With the help of his friends Howard lead the crew to Kinko’s for a long night of printing and copying. They printed T-shirts and thousands of flyers, which were distributed at the Board of Trade’s parking lot. The message was as simple as it was effective. . .”Howard Frum will buy your watch.” The rest is history… Thank you for visiting!
